NRL Make Amendments to the Accreditation Process for Season 2020

MEMO: COVID-19 Update RE: Accreditation TO: Clubs and Associations FOR: Distribution DATE: 03 June 2020
Dear Clubs and Associations, Due to the unique circumstances we’re all currently experiencing, we have made some amendments to the accreditation process for season 2020. Sports Trainer Courses:
To support a smooth resumption of sport, SMA has extended all Sports Trainer Accreditations that were due to expire from 19th March 2020 to 19th September 2020 for a further six months. The six-month period applies from the date of the person’s current expiry date. To view the full statement click HERE.
There may be an opportunity for Sports Trainer’s whose accreditation expired during February and early March to have an extension applied to their qualification, this will be treated on a case by case basis by emailing SMA at safersport@sma.org.au. Due to the current restrictions in place a plan for new course delivery is currently being discussed with SMA and will be communicated when finalised.
Community Coach Courses (QLD, VIC, SA, NT & WA):
Completion of the Community Coach online module in the relevant age group permits an individual to start coaching in both training and games. The online only accreditation expiry date of June 30th has been extended to October 31st. Full accreditation will not be achieved until a coach has also completed the Face to Face Workshop component of the relevant course at which point the 3 year accreditation period will be activated. The workshop component must be completed no later than four (4) weeks prior to the completion of the teams regular season competition. Please note: The course fee will be activated on registration into the online modules.Click here to access the 2020 Community Coach online modules
